Matthew Stanley Bespoke presents their 2024 Menswear Autumn / Winter Collection designed and constructed by Director and Head Tailor Matthew Stanley.
The concept invites the recognition and appreciation of the imperfections within the perfection of handmade and handcrafted traditionally tailored menswear.
The handmade craftsmanship delivers the embodiment of character, individuality and uniqueness to each garment. Qualities that cannot be matched through industrialisation and automation. What the human construction has bought to these garment is imperfect perfection never intended to be achieved again in an “exact copy” remake or “design to print” repeat.
Traditional and generational handcraftsmanship techniques achieve here benchmark bespoke quality.
The bespoke design cues and 19th Century style lines are blended with contemporary relevance to present four outfits.
Elegant cloths are crafted using a colour palette and artistry extracted and applied from inspiration drawn from Hokusai's Red Fuji. His own handcrafted and hand blocking technique and artistry align well to the handmade design cues of the garments constructed in his classically muted colour palette.
The collection invites you to absorb and delight in the perfection achieved, but equally to delight and absorb in the unique imperfections the human bought to these garments and to value them just as highly recognising the skills and passion invested in each piece.
